Dr. McCamey is a board-certified acute care nurse practitioner with clinical expertise in critical care, perianesthesia, and palliative care. She serves as associate dean for clinical partnerships and innovation at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, leading clinical partnership strategy and innovation initiatives across the institution. Her expertise focuses on advancing nursing workforce diversity as a mechanism for eliminating health inequities, with emphasis on academic-practice partnerships to strengthen clinical education infrastructure. She is founder and CEO of Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNPs) of Color, the premier national organization advancing DNP-prepared nurses of color. Dr. McCamey is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing, the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, the American College of Chest Physicians, and the Academy of Diversity Leaders in Nursing.
